Only In Mexico....

Yep, things are done differently here and we have become somewhat complacent about that. Seems nothing can phase us anymore but there are some things that just leave us standing there speechless, or really not sure what we should be thinking. It just made sense that we should publish a post that is largely photos that show some of this. This is all part of the overall charm and magnetism that keeps bringing more and more people to experience Puerto Vallarta. This is all for fun - we continue to enjoy our time here immensely.

Over the counter shopping without prescriptions at the many local Farmacia outlets make shopping for pharmacy related items easy when you get sick.....

Haircut Anyone??

What a waste and an eyesore. Vacant and condemned. Hopefully the City will step in soon.

The hat man selling his stuff.

We were chilling out at La Cebolla Roja (the Red Onion) and another hat guy came buy. I had a pail of Coronas on the go so I told him to wait while I ran one down to him. He was very happy as it was a hot day... :-)

Things get a little more difficult around here if you are mobility handicapped. Many sidewalks that are almost impossible to wheel anything on and curbs that are too high even for us to try to step up over. Cobblestone roadways are quaint and pretty but they also have many potholes and puddles that don't seem to dry up. This picture was taken of a ramp leading into a home from the sidewalk but the drop from the sidewalk to the street was 4 feet....

Another interesting access to a home - doesn't meet any codes but I suppose you can get in and out...

This might make a person sweat a little on a nice warm sunny day.....

They really do just keep going and going and going....

Not sure where the little white pipe come from but I suspect it's the drain for an air-conditioner. The sidewalk and steps are a bit of an example of what it's like to navigate the streets. This photo is actually looking pretty good now that I think of it...

One of our little visitors that come into the house to say hello...the floor tiles are 1 foot X 1 foot....

And this wouldn't be reflective of PV unless we have a little something that is a reminder of one of their most famous holidays the "Day of The Dead". This is a picture hanging inside the pub with the best pizza in town.

Cute little doggies everywhere!

Big iguanas roam the park and climb in the trees.

And interesting sidewalks everywhere you walk in Old Town Vallarta

But, best of all, a whole lot of this stuff.....

We hope you have enjoyed looking at these different things that have peaked our interest from time to time. All of this has been posted for fun and we hope you feel the same way.
